Utilities
Both The Municipal Authority of the Borough
of Morrisville and Pennsylvania
American Water Company provide water service to the Township.
The Municipal Authority of the Township of Lower Makefield maintains
the infrastructure of the sewer system, with treatment supplied
by facilities in several surrounding areas.
PECO Energy Company
provides electric and gas service.
Verizon
provides telephone service.
Comcast
provides the cable service.
Transportation
The township area is transversed north and south by both
Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 1. Other major roadways include
U.S. Highway 13 and several local and state highways. Access to
the Pennsylvania State Turnpike is provided by the Delaware Valley
Interchange, located five miles from the Township.
Both the Southeastern
Pennsylvania Transit Authority ("SEPTA") and Amtrak
provide rail transportation service to Township residents. They
provide commuter service to Philadelphia, Trenton, Princeton,
and New York. SEPTA also provides the Township area with daily
bus service.
Domestic and international air service is available from the
following airports: The Mercer County Airport, located in Trenton
across the Delaware River to the northeast, the Northeast Philadelphia
Airport, located to the southwest, and the Philadelphia
International Airport, less than an hours’ drive to
the southwest
