The Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area includes the counties
of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Delaware in Pennsylvania
and Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in New Jersey.

Income
The 1990 U.S. Census of population and housing reported the township’s
median family income as $75,732 (third highest in Bucks County)
compared to $48,851 for Bucks County and $34,856 for the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.

Housing
The 1990 Census identified 9,046 dwelling units in the township.
A total of 5,534 units were reported in the 1980 Census: this
addition of 3,512 units represented a 63 percent increase in the
township’s housing stock. The vast majority of housing in
the township is of the single-family detached unit type. The median
value of dwelling units in the township in 1990, as estimated
by the Bucks County Planning Commission, was $96,976. The high
quality of homes in the township is a distinguishable characteristic.
