BOARD MEETING MINUTES

SENIORS GROUP HEALTH FAIR
Mr. Rogers
stated he attended the health fair on behalf of the Board to answer
questions. He stated approximately
thirty people attended the health fair and he did not have many people stop at
his table and ask questions.
LMT EMERGENCY SQUAD
Mr. Rogers
stated he followed up with the Emergency Squad and they told him they don’t
have the emergency information inputted into their system and have no way to
input the information because they are waiting for special computer equipment
from the state.
Ms.
Huchler-Smith suggested talking to Chief Coluzzi about how to get the emergency
information into the emergency database.
She also suggested going to the County level to ask if they have an
emergency information database and if the municipalities can access it. Mr. Rogers stated he would call Jim Cawley
and talk with Chief Coluzzi.
BUILDING PERMITS
Mr. Rogers
stated there are no new commercial building permits. He noted that he saw that the Board of
Supervisors modified the Zoning code for group homes.
BUSINESS CARDS
Mr. Rogers
distributed the business cards to the Board members and told the Board members
to fill in their names. H stated the
extra business cards would be in the Board’s filing cabinet.

PROPOSED LETTER TO LMT BUSINESSES
Mr. Rogers
discussed the proposed letter to Township business owners to comply with
handicap parking rules & proposed changes.
Ms. Huchler-Smith asked if the letter could give business owners
information about how to obtain handicap signs. Mr. Rogers agreed that is a good idea and
would ask Jim Coyne who the Township purchases signs from.
Mr. Rogers asked
the Board if they are in agreement with the content of the letter. The Board members approved the letter. Mr. Rogers stated he would meet with Mr.
Fedorchak to approve the letter then would send out the letter with the

Ms.
Huchler-Smith and Mr. Rogers suggested the Board bring ideas to the next
meeting of projects/problems the Board could address in the next two years.
Ms.
Huchler-Smith suggested ways to advertise the Disabled Persons Advisory Board
within the community. The Board suggested
going through the schools and local business associations.
The Board
discussed the new handicap ramp at the rear entrance to Makefield Elementary
School and the lack of handrails or that the ramp is not wide enough the fit
both doors. Mr. Rogers stated he would contact the director of special
