Public Safety Consideration

LMT has a comprehensive emergency preparedness operation plan. Chief Coluzzi is the Emergency Management Coordinator. In the event of a disaster the emergency management committee, first responders, and township officials, will conduct a quick hazard and risk analysis of the danger. Residents will be given information regarding the disaster and be advised of the proper precautions they must take to remain safe.

Notification to the public will be through:

  1. Community Alert Network (CAN):
A simultaneous computerized home to home telephone system.
  2. Local Radio Stations:
    WBCB 1490AM
    KYW 1060AM
  3. Local Television Stations

The emergency management coordinator maintains a list of all LMT residents with special needs and those requiring specialized equipment. Any one wishing to be placed on the list should contact LMT police as soon as possible. All residents with an unlisted telephone number must also notify LMT police as soon as possible, so that your home is included in the Community Alert Network.
