Greetings,
The Friends of Five Mile Woods have regular workdays for volunteers on the second Saturday of each month, March through October. Volunteers are always welcome. Scout and other community groups are encouraged to volunteer time in the Woods. Workdays start at 9 am and finish at noon. Typical projects involve pruning vegetation off of the trails, trail lining, building and repair projects, and hosting public events. We frequently take time out to enjoy and learn about the Woods and all of it’s fauna and flora. We are also looking for volunteers interested in helping to guide tours through the Woods during public events. Training is available.
