On behalf of CSX, and in accordance with the FCC’s Program Comment for PTC towers, Section V., we are submitting information related to 1 PTC pole in Bucks County, PA. This pole would be excluded under the PC Section V.A(1)(i)(c) due to existing utility lines; however, the railroad is a determined eligible historic property within the pole’s direct APE. Please refer to the FCC website or call the FCC for guidance as the information requirements are different for towers submitted under the Program Comment: http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/positive-train-control-ptc; there are additional guidance and Q&A documents linked from this page, and the documents are updated on an as-needed basis by the FCC. Be sure to check them regularly.
Associated documentation includes:
- A table containing related tower information
- Series of topographic maps showing the tower locations and any historic properties within ¼ mile of non-excluded poles
- Series of aerial imagery maps showing the tower locations and any historic properties within ¼ mile of non-excluded poles
- Tower specification schematic for the 60-foot-tall mast monopoles with 10-foot antenna 5. Photograph of a typical PTC pole installation with associated infrastructure
A Google Earth .kmz file containing all the information in the spreadsheet is available on the FCC TCNS website. Note that CSX PTC towers also serve as base stations.
The non-excluded pole has been reviewed according to the guidelines in the Program Comment Section VII. HDR completed a search of the PA SHPO database to identify resources within the direct and visual APEs as defined in the Program Comment. For historic property review, all nonexcluded poles will be subject to the 30-day review period as directed in the Program Comment.
Sincerely,
