The current detours relative to the Scudders Falls Bridge project, deal with motorists intending to use NJ Rt 29 as it intersects with I-295. The detours involve all the ramps located on the north side of the bridge in NJ, and will take approx.. 18 weeks to complete.
- Lower Makefield residents wanting to travel South on Rt 29 coming from PA on I-295, NO DETOUR.
- Lower Makefield residents wanting to travel North on Rt 29 coming from PA on I-295, will need to go to the I-295 Scotch Rd exit (#73), swing over to the On ramp for I-295 North backs towards PA, and get off at the Rt 29 north exit (#76).
- Motorists in NJ on Rt 29 north from Trenton, needing to travel beyond I-295 on Rt 29 North towards Lambertville, you need to get on I-295 South at the Rt 29 entrance, go to the I-295 Scotch Rd exit (#73), swing over to and get on the ramp for I-295 North, and get off at the Rt 29 north exit #(76).
- Motorists in NJ, needing to travel from I-295 North (from Quakerbridge towards PA) wanting to go onto Rt 29 south towards Trenton, travel over to PA and get off at the Yardley Exit (#10)(Taylorsville Rd). Turn right at the signal and re-enter I-295 South back over to NJ and exit at the Rt 29 south exit (first exit). It is expected that this detour could add an additional 150 vehicles in the am peak hour and an additional 100 vehicles in the pm peak hour.
