2019 POOL Opening Facts
When will the pool open?
Due to unavoidable circumstances with the construction of The POOL we will be opening June 8, 2019 rather than the originally planned date of May 25.
What will members get in return of the change?
While we were already using customer feedback to improve our offerings at The POOL this year, we wanted to make the customer experience even better. We will be adding an additional 97 hours to the schedule this summer.
- We have extended our Sunday schedule and will now be open from 9AM-9PM for the entire summer instead of the 10AM-8PM and 10AM-9PM hours have offered in the past.
- On Saturdays, we will be open until 9PM throughout the summer; we usually close at 8PM at the beginning and end of the season.
- We are also extending the hours the week of June 10th, June 17th, and August 19th from 3PM-8PM to 12PM-9 PM, which is 60 hours of extra swim time.
- The week of August 12th we will open at 10AM which adds two hours a day to the morning schedule.

We have been assured even with our setbacks the pool will be open by June 8th.
Will we get a refund?
We will not be offering partial refunds.
Our policy remains the same.
Request must be received in writing and key fobs returned to the Township Building by Friday May 24th, 2019. Refunds will not be issued after this date.
Why is it delayed?
The pool project is delayed due to the late delivery of the gutter system itself and a few poor weather days.
Why did we even do this project?
The pool wall had been patched regularly over the last eleven (11) years. We have been losing about 3-4 inches of pool water a day, which translates to 20,953 gallons/per day.
It had come to our attention that the pool could potentially have a worse issue of the pool having a major event; a bigger leak, patch failures, etc. that could occur during the pool season that would require a total shut down for the remainder of the year. Since this has been going on for eleven (11) years and the amount of water we were losing seemed to be increasing, it appeared the repair was safest course of action.
How does the delay affect:
We are still working out details with the swim team. We will better know its affect after a few days.
Swim lessons have not been affected and in fact will be expanded to provide an additional week this year.
We will be adding additional programming this year to include a Jaws viewing supper solstice party and build your own raft race days.
Our staff will be working limited hours during the closure to complete training and to clean the pool area in preparation for opening. We will not be fully staffed. Staff will also assist at the Memorial Park Memorial Day event.
Why not a partial opening?
We considered a partial opening where we fence off the construction zone but determined that it was not safe and could potentially delay the project further. In addition, we found that there was some slide repair required full closure due to dust and fumes. Our inspector recently failed our slide and it is necessary to repair it to open it this year. This closure is also allowing us to complete the slide.
What will we do with the food Vendor?
Our food vendor will be the only food vendor at our Memorial Day event, we are having discussions about what we can do throughout the season to make this right with Sicilia Catering.
