Memorial Park - Site of The 9-11 Garden of Reflection

About Memorial Park

Memorial Park
1950 Woodside Road
Yardley, PA

Memorial Park in Lower Makefield Township is the site of the 9-11 Garden of Reflection, Pennsylvania’s official memorial. It also includes:

The Secret Garden – an accessible playground designed to include children of different abilities. Features include a unique rubberized surface, easily accessible for children with mobility issues; special activity panels for children with sensory issues; and other unique and innovative equipment.

A Community Garden – A limited number of plots are available to residents for the Spring/Summer/Fall season on a first come first serve basis. Contact our volunteer David Nirschel or call the Parks and Recreation department 267-274-1110.

Sports Fields – basketball courts, sand volleyball area, softball field and a multi-purpose football/soccer field.

About The 9-11 Garden of Reflection

The 9-11 Garden of Reflection was created to remember and honor all 2,973 people killed on September 11, 2001—including the 18 residents from Bucks County. It was formally dedicated on September 30, 2006.

The Memorial Journey walking path leads from sorrowful reminders of tragedy and grief towards luminous symbols of hope, peace and celebration of life. It includes WTC remnants, the names of all victims etched in glass, maple trees planted for the Bucks County residents, and the heart of the garden – luminous, twin towering fountains, which are symbols of renewal and healing.
