Lower Makefield Township is now accepting applications for the position of Accounts Receivable Accountant in the Finance Department. This is a full-time position with benefits.
The starting probationary salary will be $53,000 for a minimum period of one hundred eighty (180) calendar days. During this time, the employee is eligible for benefits. After the probationary period concludes, the employee may receive a salary increase based upon his or her performance.
The Accounts Receivable Accountant position is responsible for a range of general accounting and bookkeeping functions and will be primarily responsible for accounts receivable, developer escrow accounting, fixed assets, grant administration, and worker’s compensation claims. Theincumbent will also be expected to assist the Assistant Finance Director with external audits and other accounting projects as assigned. The position reports to the Assistant Finance Director and does not supervise other employees within the Finance Department.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or an associate’s degree with equivalent work experience of two or more years in accounting or finance is required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required and experience with Munis or another government accounting system is preferred.
