BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

FEBRUARY 15, 2006

 

 

A special meeting of the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors was held on Monday, February 15, 2006 for the purpose of interviewing individual candidates for renewal and vacant Township Board and Commission positions.  Chairman Santarsiero called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  Mr. Caiola called the roll.

 

Those present:                          Steve Santarsiero, Chairman

                                                Ron Smith, Vice Chairman

                                                Greg Caiola, Secretary/Treasurer

                                                Grace Godshalk Supervisor (absent)

                                                Pete Stainthorpe, Supervisor

 

Others:                                     Terry Fedorchak, Township Manager

 

Individuals were interviewed in the following order:

 

                                                Norma Wood, Elm Lowne Committee

Trish Bunn, Park & Recreation

            Fran McDonald, Park & Recreation or Disabled Persons

Advisory Board

Andrea Scherer, H.A.R.B.

Nancy Gaston-Festa, H.A.R.B.

Janet Smith, Elm Lowne Committee

Joe Weiss, Cable TV

 

Mr. Santarsiero noted that Ms. Wood could not be present tonight because she was ill and they would reschedule her interview. 

 

The Board asked for a brief professional background on each candidate, what they could add, and what they would like to see the prospective Board or Commission they were interviewing for accomplish in the future.  Those candidates asking for renewal were asked what was the greatest accomplishment and disappointment of the Commission or Board they served on this year.  Mr. Santarsiero noted the Board would hear all of the interviews then would make their decision on who is appointed.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
