APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 2006 MINUTES

Ms. Dorko moved, Ms. Piccinotti seconded and it was unanimously carried to approve the September 2006 minutes with corrections.

ORDINANCE COMMITTEE

Ms. Dorko was selected to help the township review the existing ordinances along with members from other LMT committees. She has asked the DPAB to review the Streets and Sidewalk ordinance and email her with any questions, comments or recommendations.

ADDITIONAL HANDICAP PARKING REQUEST AT THE TOWNSHIP POOL

Mr. Rogers stated that he is still trying to reach the woman of the Disabled Board’s decision. He will continue to follow up.

REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE

Mr. Rogers stated that he received a request for Medical help from a former resident (now living with family member in Feasterville). Apparently the individual has a mental disorder. The DPAB is not in a position to recommend any specific Doctor, etc.   Mr. Rogers stated he will refer the people to the Bucks County CIL.

An additional request came in via email stating a family was looking for guidance with building an in-law suite for an elderly woman as well as making modifications to their house. Mr. Rogers

will first look at existing permits filed with township and then will direct the individual to the CIL for further information.

REVIEW OF PARK & RECREATION PROPERTIES

Mr. Rogers stated that all of the proper signage and accessibility modifications have been done except for the “lip” in the bathroom at Macclesfield and placement of parking spots at Roeloffs Road park. Mr. Rogers will follow up.

REVIEW OF HANDICAPPED PARKING SPOTS

Ms. Huchler-Smith stated that she will follow up with the Floral Vale and Makefield Executive quarters management companies. Still not in compliance.

Also, Mr. Rogers will review permits for the 777 Township Line Rd building. Ms Huchler-Smith stated that the signs do not look up to code. The proper signs are posted but on different looking posts. They do not appear to be at the proper height. The management company will be contacted once the review of the plans has been completed.

HARVEST DAY

Ms. Huchler-Smith and Mr. Rogers attended the Harvest Day Festival. It was another way of making the existence of the committee known. Even though only approx 6-8 people actually stopped to obtain information it is still worth while to keep a public appearance. Someone may need it in the future and will remember seeing a sign and investigate it further.

ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTYWIDE DPAB

Will continue to support this group. In addition, there will be a dinner for the BCCID on Thursday 10/26/06.  Mr. Rogers and Ms. Piccinotti will be attending. Mr. Rogers stated that plaques will be presented to several of the surrounding DPAB committees in Bucks County.

BUILDING PERMITS

Mr. Rogers noted there are no new permits to report.

TOWNSHIP MEETINGS

The first broadcast of the Supervisor meetings was held a couple weeks ago. This coming Wednesday will be the second broadcast. Mr. Rogers stated that he will be listening to the quality of the sound. Mr. Wells will be attending next months DPAB meeting to go over sound designs for the township meeting room.
