Trash Collection

In Lower Makefield Township, trash collection and recycling is provided through private haulers and residents are required to purchase their own service directly. Trash haulers in Lower Makefield Township must provide both trash and recycling collection as part of the normal collection fee. Trash hauler must provide to the residence curbside recycling. However, these recycling programs do not accept all recyclable items. The Lower Makefield Township Environmental Advisory Council has prepare a 2023 Recycling Guide. This guide addresses items that come up in everyday life but cannot be put in the curbside recycling bin. What follows is an alphabetical list of products and material and where they can be taken for recycling and/or reuse. Most options are free of charge and close to LMT. Bucks County’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program organizes several collections throughout the county each year for household hazardous waste and unwanted computer equipment.
