At its meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors continued its discussion regarding the potential implementation of a stormwater utility fee to support the Township’s stormwater management program. Representatives from Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) provided a presentation outlining key considerations, including infrastructure needs, regulatory requirements, timeline, work completed to date, upcoming work tasks, and the potential structures of a utility fee.
The Board is exploring this option as part of its broader commitment to maintaining and improving critical stormwater infrastructure, addressing flooding concerns, and meeting state and federal stormwater management mandates. A stormwater utility fee would provide a dedicated and sustainable funding source to support these efforts.
No final decisions have been made. The discussion will continue at future public meetings, and additional information will be shared as the Township evaluates next steps.
The full HRG presentation from the October 15 meeting is available here.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate in upcoming discussions.
More information will be posted on the Township website as it becomes available.
